How it works
Contract value is the notional size of a derivatives position: price times lot size times lots. Exchanges set lot sizes and revise them periodically, so enter the lot size from the current NSE contract specification. Margin requirements are separate and are not calculated here.
Formula
Contract value = price x lot size x number of lots
Frequently asked questions
What is contract value in F&O?
The price multiplied by the quantity in the position, which is lot size times lots.

The exchange, under SEBI rules; check the contract specification on NSE.

No. You post margin, which is a fraction of the value, but gains and losses are on the full value.
