Cross rate via the US dollar, 31 Oct 2026 | Source: open.er-api.com (mid-market).
How it works
Every rate comes from one daily feed quoted against the US dollar, so any pair is a cross rate: the amount is turned into dollars and then into the second currency. This keeps all pairs consistent with each other.
The converter shows the rate both ways and a small table for common amounts. Card payments and money transfers use the provider's own rate, which includes a margin.
Formula
Result = amount x (rate of the target currency per US dollar / rate of the source currency per US dollar)
- Use the converter for planning and checking quotes, not as a dealing rate.
Frequently asked questions
Which rates does the currency converter use?
Mid-market reference rates from a free daily exchange rate feed, quoted against the US dollar. Pairs that do not involve the dollar are worked out as cross rates.
Can I convert rupees into any currency?
Yes. Choose INR as the source currency and any of the listed currencies as the target.
Why does my card statement show a different rate?
Card networks and banks apply their own rate on the transaction date plus any foreign currency markup in your card terms.
