How it works
The converter multiplies your amount by the reference rate for one Kuwaiti dinar. We take the rates from a free exchange rate feed that publishes mid-market rates against the US dollar once a day, and work out the rupee rate as a cross through the dollar.
It is useful for workers in Kuwait, whose dinar is one of the highest valued currencies. The rate you actually get from a bank, card or remittance service is lower when you sell KWD and higher when you buy, because the provider adds a margin and sometimes a fee.
Formula
Rupees = amount in KWD x rupees per KWD; KWD = rupees / rupees per KWD
- Mid-market means halfway between buying and selling rates. Compare it with the rate your provider quotes to see the margin you pay.
- Rates change every day, so convert again before a transfer.
